Vacuum moulded film

Vacuum moulded film (bottom)

Polythermtm Casttm is used for forming a cell of a given form (after heating), where a product is placed. The film has a five-layer structure and is regarded as a “soft” film. In the European market this is the most commonly used type of material having a barrier layer formed of polyamide, which is capable of providing necessary shelf live and appearance of the package.

When choosing a bottom vacuum film one should first take into account the depth of a formed cell. The more we stretch the film while forming a deep cell, the thinner is the barrier layer, which is to protect the product from spoiling, especially in the corners of the cell. To compensate this effect, one needs to use thicker films.

A set of Polyplentm + Polythermtm Casttm endures pasteurization at the temperature of up to 100°Ñ during 30 minutes (standard pasteurization mode). The majority of enterprises employ the film having thickness of 68, 70 micron, in practice the films of 48, 58, 78, 98, 118 microns are also used.
